SCIENTISTS MADE NEW CHIP CALLED KILOCORE

THE NEW CHIP KILOCORE MADE BY SCIENTISTS,WORLD FIRST 1000-PROCESSER COMPUTER CHIP.

 

 In june 2016 scientists made a new microchip,named Kilocore. It is a world first 1000-processer computer chip. It consists independent programmable processer.the chip was designed by the team department of electrical and computer engineering at university of california.

The kilocore was presented at the 2016 Symposium on VLSI Technology and Circuits in Honolulu on 16 June 2016.

 FEATURES:

• It consists 621 million transistor
• this chip has maximum computation rate of 1.78 trillion per second
•  It was make by IBM using their 32nm CMOS technology
•   This chip operate at an average maximum clock frequency of 1.78 GHz.
• It shut itself to save energy when no needed
• It can display the result in 115 billion second on consuming only 0.7 watt of energy
•  It can give result 100 times better than normal laptop processer
• It can also run on AA battery
