DEATH DUE TO THE LUNG CANCER RISES IN KOCHI.

• Lung cancer tops the list of cancer deaths reported in the district. While breast and oral cancer deaths take the second and third spots, breast cancer cases are the most reported among all cancers in the district.

•  In 2015, 110 (99 males) died of lung cancer compared to 86 (77 males) in 2014. In 2014, 42 (41 females) breast cancer deaths were reported against 35 such deaths in 2015.

•  The number of oral cancer deaths reported was 35 (32 males) in 2015 against 33 (28 males) in 2014. The total numbers of various cancer deaths reported were 326 in 2015 against 348 cases in 2014.

• Deputy District Medical Officer Dr. Vidya told The Hindu that the data on cancer deaths had been collected by the field workers in the district. There were chances of missing out on some of the cancer deaths that could have happened in private institutions. The survey is still on for collecting details of cancer patients taking treatment in government institutions, she said.

• The government institutions in the district reported 3,674 cases of cancers in 2015 against 4,844 in 2014. Of the total cases of cancer reported in government institutions, breast cancer topped the list in both the years with 721 cases in 2015 and 950 in 2014. There were also 441 cases of breast cancer that were referred from other centres in 2015 while in 2014, there were 248 such cases. 646 lung cancer cases were reported in 2015 against 867 in 2014. There were also 297 referred cases in IP in 2015 against 477 in 2014.

• Among cardio-vascular disease deaths reported in government hospitals, there were 16 cases of deaths caused by hypertension in 2015 against 35 deaths in 2014. Ischemic heart disease caused 8 deaths in 2015 against 29 deaths in 2014.

• However, there is no comprehensive data on cardio-vascular disease deaths in the district.

HP Launched a new model of Chromebook 11 G5 with new feature 
with base price Rs 12,800

The all new chromebook will be available in both touch screen and non touch screen.
It will come with 11.6 inch HD display with 1366x768.

It also have Gorilla glass protection.

HP claim the it is the company first 11.6 inch display chromebook laptop to come with touch screen option.
    It is powered by the dual core Intel Celeron N3060 processer and come with optional 2 & 4 GB ram.

The laptop has 32GB of inbuilt storage and promises to deliver up to 12.5 hours of battery life on the non-touch display variant. The touchscreen variant is supposed to deliver 11 hours of battery life. 

HP says that it is new chromebook 11 G5 that come with new feature , slimmer design with narrow display bezels. As for Productivity  and app availability, the company note that laptop will support  all the android apps via the Google Play. Google announced the merging of almost 2 million Andriod apps with Chrome OS during its recent Google I/O 2016 conference. 

Google last month at I/O conference announced that it will be easy for developers to bring their Android apps on the OS without any need to roll out an update. The Google Play access in Chrome OS will first be hitting the Asus Chromebook Flip, the Acer Chromebook R 11 and the Chromebook Pixel (2015). Some of the partners that are already working to bring Android apps to their Chromebooks include Acer, Asus, Dell, Haier, Lava (Xolo Chromebook), HP, Lenovo, Samsung, and Toshiba.

India Got 105th in Human Capital Index out 130th Country in all over world,which was recently released in world economic forum report.The report was released by Geneva-WEF at its annual meeting of new champions which is also known as " SUMMER DAVOS SUMMIT".
